UFO Part2 is a variation of the UFO that appears in multiple Space Invaders games, originating from Space Invaders Part II. It's one of the few enemies beyond the 3 classic invaders and UFO to appear in multiple games, the other being the Shapeshifting Cuttlefish.
In Space Invaders Part II[]
In its debut game, UFO Part2 functions similarly to its standard counterpart. It continually blinks in and out of existence, making it harder to hit. Likewise, it rewards 500 points upon death.
In Space Invaders Infinity Gene Evolve[]
UFO Part2s appear alongside the passively-spawning UFOs in most stages. Unlike standard UFOs, which drop Neurons upon death, UFO Part2s drop Score Items. UFO Part2s make a more substantial appearance once the "Bonus UFO" evolution is unlocked. When a midboss is killed early, a massive swarm of UFO Part2s will begin to spawn in an intangible state (they can be killed but cannot kill the player) and fly outwards.
Inspiration[]
UFO Part2's functionality is rather different in Evolve compared to its original appearance in Part II. However, providing Score Items might be a reference to the higher point count given by them in the original game. While no longer blinking, their temporary intangibility may be a reference to their semi-incorporeal nature in Part II.

According to Evolve's Enemy Graphics menu, UFO Part2's lineage is UFO -> UFO Part2 -> Revolver -> Mine.

In the console version, when beat on Nightmare difficulty, the credits end screen will have a UFO Part2 fly over the words "evolution never ends."
Arkanoid vs Space Invaders[]

An early screenshot of the game exists where a UFO Part2 is seen firing shots. It's unclear what role it would have played beyond this.
