The End is a shoot 'em up game developed by Konami in 1980 for Arcades and licensed to Stern for distribution in western territories. It never received any console ports.
Overview[]
The End is a single-screen shoot 'em up similar in concept to Space Invaders. You control a ship at the bottom of the screen, and must shoot the floating aliens released by the large UFO at the top of the screen. There are three barriers above the player ship, which are comprised of multiple bricks. Besides attacking the player, the alien enemies will also attempt to steal the bricks from the barrier, which they'll use to spell the word "END" at the top of the screen. The game is over either if the player loses all of it's lives or if the enemies manage to complete the "END" word.
