Cells are enemies from Space Invaders Infinity Gene first appearing in Stage 4-2, Conformation.
Appearance[]
It resembles a small, transparent capsule with four appendages.
Behavior[]
Unlike most enemies, it does not harm the player, but rather multiplies when killed, creating large clusters, possibly absorbing the player's fire.
Name[]
It is named for its bacteria-like rapid reproduction via splitting (similar to mitosis.)
Trivia[]
Like other aspects of Space Invaders Infinity Gene, the Cell originates from Metal Black, where it is very similar aesthetically and behaviorally. The primary differences are being solid objects that can harm the player and having color and a metallic texture.
